For many years, the Photo Circle collective group of photographers has built a collection of family albums, stories and other studio photographs from what the Nepalese population would give them. The Nepal Picture Library acts as the memory of a country and of a culture for which photography is a way to attest their existence in a social body. In this city hit by a great earthquake in 2015, the pictures projected on the walls still standing and on the heaps of rubble are incarnated in the rock, earth, and sand, reminding us of the primordial dust to which our bodies will one day return.
